& Charity Fundraiser
In celebration of our birthday,
Canine Creek
had a party. Here's what you missed...
The Results: Adoptions & Money Raised

Date:
Saturday,
April 5th, 2008
Time: 10am to 6pm, Rain or Shine
Place:
538 E. Tehachapi Blvd.
The corner of Tehachapi Blvd & Snyder Rd.
2 blocks East of the Apple Shed
Scrub-A-Dub for Dobies
All bathing
proceeds received on Saturday, April 5th will be donated to the
Doberman SOS
rescue. Please come down and wash your dogs for charity.
Last bath starts by 5:30pm. First come, first served. So that
we may raise as much money as possible, we request that
customers limit baths to 30 minutes per dog that day, but a donation to
Dobie SOS will earn you more tub time.
FREE upgrade to
Bellyrubs organic shampoo to all bathers!
Vaccine &
Nail Trimming Clinic
Our monthly shot and nail
trimming clinic will run during the event, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
Janice will be donating 100% of her nail trimming fees to STOP (Save
Tehachapi's Orphaned Pets) during our event. Many thanks
to BSE Rents,
Canine Creek's neighbor, for their generosity in loaning us an office
trailer for Dr. Dave and Janice to work in!

Why you should come to
our event...
Our
3rd Annual Birthday Bash charity event raised nearly $2,000 for the
Doberman SOS rescue, and additional funds for several other pet rescues in
attendance. Since Tehachapi does not have a shelter, these
non-profit organizations are the only hope of survival for our local
homeless pets. And, aside from helping the animals, our Birthday
Bash events are FUN for the whole family. Here's what happened last year. Please
join us in 2008.

POST-EVENT INFO: The Results
Thanks to all who attended the
Canine Creek Birthday Bash and charity fundraiser on April 5th, and to
the many vendors who donated to the raffle. Although the weather was
a bit RUFF, and $4-a-gallon gas prices are HOUNDING the American
economy, the generous folks of Tehachapi really came out to support
our local non-profit pet organizations. We don't have figures from
all 7 rescues who attended, but here are the total day results from
the 3 who reported back to us:
Number of Dogs Adopted: Five
Cash Donations Received: $2,645
Product / In-kind Donations:
$600
We would not have done this well if
it were not for the businesses and individuals who supported this
fundraising effort. I would like to personally thank our
manager, Shellie Lowetz, for all the long hours she put in organizing
this successful event. We could not have done it without her.
Hope to see you at the 5th annual
event next April!
