Apr 16th, 2011

Join us on Sat, April 16th for the annual Bark For Life fundraiser for Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society. Registration is $15/dog. Bring your dogs downtown and help us raise money to fight cancer! Registration will start at 9am in the Jacobsen Jr. High School parking lot on the corner of Tehachapi Blvd & Snyder Ave, and participants will walk throughout downtown Tehachapi on a pre-scheduled route. The dog walk will start at 10am. Registration forms will be available online and at Canine Creek. Vendor booths will be set up in our parking lot from 10am to 2pm featuring local pet rescues, pet-related food and products, the AngelDogs low-cost spay/neuter van, live music and more. Mark your calendar!

BARK CHALLENGE! Canine Creek owner Susie Atherton will shave her head on Saturday, April 16th if the 2011 Bark For Life raises $5,000. See the news story/video on the KERO ABC TV 23 Bakersfield website.

The 2011 Bark For Life event raised nearly $3,769.92 (more than 3 times the $1,225 raised the previous year), with 83 dogs in the walk... double the number of participants of 2010. The event was covered by the Tehachapi News and KERO ABC 23. (Click the KERO link to see the video and print story.) Thanks to everyone for a very successful Bark. Hope to see you in 2012!
